The 1 Pump Court Prison Law Team is committed to providing advice, assistance and representation – fighting for the rights of Prisoners from Prison adjudications, through to applications for Judicial Review (including urgent applications for emergency interim relief) in the Administrative Court and Appeals Against Conviction and Sentence in the Court of Appeal
We also deliver regular Accredited Seminars on Prison Law and Appeals at Chambers' location or at Solicitors' offices by arrangement. Backed by a dedicated Prison Law Administrator and experienced Clerks, the Team is equipped to handle Direct Access inquiries from Prisoners where appropriate and are also very experienced at working closely with Prisoner’s existing Solicitors to achieve speedy and effective resolution to cases.
Because Prisoners’ problems are often multi-disciplinary the Prison Law Team includes members of the Crime, Housing, Immigration and Family Teams within chambers. Whatever legal problems a prisoner may be experiencing, the chances are we can help.
