Philippa Hemery
Practice
Philippa joined 1 Pump Court chambers as a tenant on successful completion of her pupillage. Her practice encompasses all areas of family law, including public and private law children work, ancillary relief and injunction proceedings. She has experience at every level of tribunal from the Family Proceedings Court to the High Court.
Background/Education
Prior to being called to the bar Philippa graduated from Oxford University with a first class degree in Modern History. She completed her CPE at Oxford Brookes University, and was graded outstanding on the BVC at the College of Law in London. She was awarded the Inner Temple Outstanding BVC Award in October 2008.

Philippa is committed to pro bono work and has regularly undertaken Social Security cases for the Free Representation Unit. She has also previously worked with NGOs in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
