Practice

Timur’s background is in both criminal and family law but he now exclusively practices in family law, both public and private. He regularly acts for parents in care proceedings and has particular experience in working with clients with learning difficulties, mental health problems or with substance and alcohol abuse related issues.

Timur often acts for guardians and has been instructed in many private law matters involving same sex couples.

Timur does a substantial amount of advocacy training for those hoping to join the bar and is a pupil supervisor.

He is trained in direct access.

Notable Cases

A and L (Children) [2011] EWCA Civ 1205.
Appeal by mother of findings against her in fact-finding hearing. Guidance given by Court of Appeal as to correct process to be adopted where it is considered that there is a lack of reasoning or clarity in a judgment.
